Patricia King: Battling Anxiety and Depression

Blog by Karen Lusher, friend, CSA-XPMEDIA.COM

As I’ve been interceding for one so precious to me suffering  greatly with anxiety and depression that just won’t seem to let up even with medication,  the Lord highlighted this familiar passage to me with new revelation that I’d like to share.   What He highlighted I’ll put in bold print, and what He impressed on me, I’ll put in italics. Hopefully this will be a blessing for those struggling with similar issues.

Many of you love this passage:  Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice.  Let your gentleness be evident to all.  The Lord is near.  Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ  Jesus.

Philippians 4:4-7  Rejoice in the Lord always.  (Lord, You want this to be my lifestyle….you said it twice!)  I will say it again: Rejoice!  Let your gentleness be evident  to all.  The Lord is near.  (This is the important precedent for His next point…..He Is Near!!!!  )  Do not be anxious about ANYTHING, but in EVERYTHING, by prayer and petition, WITH THANKSGIVING, PRESENT YOUR REQUESTS TO GOD.

(I saw a picture of lots of little clouds around this dear one’s head each with a legitimate “anything” inside of it  that would make any  woman  anxious.  Then I saw a big red heart shape symbolizing the heart of God.  I saw her taking every “Anything” one at a time, grabbing it, taking it captive, but most importantly, giving God her petition about each one as she  thanked Him for taking it from her and releasing it into His heart labeled “Everything.”   Thanksgiving, petitioning, and thrusting were all connected in one prophetic action of faith!    I saw that this was the essence of spiritual warfare as we read about in II Corinthians 10:4,5.  This tells us what to DO with those things we take captive;  it’s an action I love of THRUSTING that “ANYTHING” into God’s EVERYTHING heart to deal with, which  is exactly what He has promised  us He would do!!!  To me this prophetic action she could actually do was very significant, because there were so many “anythings” that she didn’t know what to do with.  How could she possibly keep so many captive?   But there is more….something even more wonderful than this!!)

And the PEACE OF GOD WHICH TRANSCENDS ALL UNDERSTANDING, (This peace that He gives us when we give Him all of our ”anythings”  lifts us up over these worries.   It doesn’t make sense, for we don’t see in the natural that anything has changed…)  (that peace… will GUARD your HEART (even though it’s been broken and has been so troubled, it’s guardednow by the peace of God.  It’s guarded; God’s peace guards your precious heart!  All of its ”anythings’ were thrust into His ” everythings,” and it’s now guarded against future attacks, for this thanksgiving, petitioning/thrusting of our “anythings” becomes a lifestyle!)  and  (it also guards) your Mind in Christ Jesus.  (Your troubled mind full of worry and concerns is now guarded by God’s peace  for we are in Christ Jesus, and He gives us His very mind.  There need be no more worry about our thoughts.  Our mind is guarded by God’s peace which takes us to verses 8 and 9.  Our thoughts are focused now on thinking about whatever is lovely, pure, excellent, admirable, and praiseworthy ….peaceful thoughts….and all anxiety goes.

This dear one could see the picture of this and proceeded to take her many concerns to the Lord, one by one.  It is something she is practicing day by day and even though she’s still struggling, I see her growing in this and I’m seeing some new hope. She likes the thought she can DO something with her “anythings..” and intercede for them all in one action.  It takes away her sense of powerlessness and gives her a greater sense of accomplishment. My prayer is that I am able to help this dear one make  this “thanksgiving/petitioning/thrusting  prophetic act” of each “anything” that haunts her  a habit and becomes a permanent part of her new lifestyle so that she never struggles with this again.  It’s God’s preventive medicine as well.  God wants to give her heart and mind peace, and in these verses He teaches us how to get there.  Blessings to all who suffer and struggle with depression and anxiety. May the Lord give us all revelation of these things so we can walk them out.

Patricia King: Don’t Want Rocks Crying Out in My Place!

by Kim Hadaway, itinerant minister with Patricia King and XP Ministries

We are in the midst of our Operation Extreme Love School in Thailand. As we observe our surroundings, it could become overwhelming if we did not know the God of Love.

Love Himself created each one of us and did so for us to have a life of love, freedom and relationship with our magnificent Creator. When we fell, Love came down and made a way for us to be completely and eternally restored to perfect relationship with a perfect God.

As we walk the city, we see so many hurting lives destroyed by sin, deception and abuse of the enemy. We can actually hear the heart cries, some of our team have even stated they feel the same way. And we have even seen in the Spirit a cry from the ground for justice, from the generations past that have experienced injustice (Genesis 4:10b).

I am aware that we are on a mission, but even more aware that our daily lives should be a mission.

Whether we are in Pattaya, Thailand, Cambodia or in our own cities, nations, streets, neighborhood markets, workplaces, or our own living rooms…

As I sat here today observing, I began to be reminded of a few things, one being all of creation is groaning. We at times may not have been able to understand the depths of the groan and the meaning behind it, but every person and every part of creation is aware of God. There is a cry to know Him, to be filled with His great love, and to find justice where there has been injustice. Everywhere we go, when we pray for people they always say, please pray for blessings on my life and that I find love…

So, why the unusual title to these prayer directives?

It started as I meditated on all of the above and, in the midst of this time, the words to an old song came to me: “Ain’t gonna let no rock cry out in my place, I’m going to praise His Holy Name!”

This song is in reference to a Scripture out of Luke 19:40 where the Pharisees told Jesus that He needed to silence His disciples. Jesus proceeded to inform them that if His disciples were silenced, the stones would immediately cry out in their place.

The message of who our God is, all He possesses, and His greatest demonstration of this love will never be able to be silenced. There will always be a revealing of our King and the mysteries of His kingdom. But I sure don’t want creation to have to take my place in this.

All of creation is groaning for the manifestation of the mature sons and daughters of God as well.

(Romans 8:19)

As the Word states, from the beginning of time we were created to be mirror reflections of our God and Creator. We are not just to have this knowledge but be established in this knowledge, actively walking in it. We were told to take dominion and to establish His kingdom rule everywhere we are, and to be fruitful and multiply. So if God is Love, we should see Love empower us and be established where there is none or little. If there is injustice, we are to release justice; if there is disorder, we too are called to bring and establish order as He did. If there is lack of Love, we’re called to be releasers of this great love and goodness. (Genesis 1:26-31, Ephesians 3)

I believe there is an awakening that has taken place in the body and is continuing to take place, concerning who our God is and who He has called us to be. In this revealing, the world is coming to know Him; I believe they are crying out for it from the innermost part of their being, and even the earth is crying out for this revealing of Jesus the King.

Several years ago, I heard of a rock that supposedly contained healing properties; it is called a Pakistan Salt lamp. Think of it, a rock that releases healing properties as it is lit. It is said that as it is lit, it aids those that battle with asthma, high blood pressure, and other illnesses. I know this may sound bizarre to some, but I was reminded of this and so much more that I have noticed in the past several years. Look around you: are there not more new age stores that have “healing” stones and other things advertised? Are there not more and more stores that sell clothing and accessories with the cross, the crown, keys and even lines of clothing in secular establishments called “Decree”? Is this not a cry to be heard?

Are we not those living stones that house the very Spirit of God and the Kingdom of God?

(1 Peter 2:5, Ephesians 2:22)

Are we not called to be salt and light? (Matthew 5:13-16)

Are we not to release the essence and substance of all Jesus is everywhere we go – bringing change, healing, deliverance, and freedom? And bringing light, life and love, because we have encountered true Love and have been given abundant life? As it states in Ephesians 3, to be filled with the fullness of God!

All this said, I thought of all the people running to the new age stores to buy these lamps and stones to find this inner peace and healing. But in reality, if we the mature sons and daughters of the Living God will awaken to the living reality that Jesus Is Alive In Us, and we are empowered by Holy Spirit, then we will be those who the world will begin to run to more and more to encounter Salvation Himself, Love Himself, Healing Himself, Freedom Himself!

Let’s begin with prayer,

Jesus we join together in praise and adoration to You for all You are and all You have imparted to us!

We celebrate You and the abundant life You have released to each of us.

We thank You that You are the very image of love and we also thank You for being the greatest demonstration of perfect love.

Father God, we thank You that You have imparted to us the spirit of adoption, that we may be called Sons of God. We cry out to be those mature sons and daughters of God who bring pleasure to Your heart and glory to Your name.

Lord we cry out even now to be established as a praise in all the earth! (Luke 19:40)

We desire to bring glory and honor to Your holy name each and every day of our lives.

We acknowledge Your living Word in us and that we have been created in Your image and likeness and are to be demonstrations of Your goodness on the earth.

Forgive us when we have been silent and have been ignorant of who You have stated we are.

We choose today to set our affection on You and surrender our lives daily to You.

We desire to be conformed more and more each day to the very image of You, Jesus!

LORD WE CRY OUT FOR AN AWAKENING IN YOUR BODY TO THE LIVING REALITIES OF ALL YOU ARE AND ALL YOU POSSESS AND ALL YOU HAVE IMPARTED TO US, THAT WE TRULY WILL FULLY BE FRUITFUL.

We know You have imparted Love to us so that we too can be filled with love and become love everywhere we go. We desire that even now.

We acknowledge You as our all in all and desire for the all in all that You have been and are to us to be imparted to those in our spheres of influence, our families, and our workplaces; in our cities, nations, and all the nations around the world.

Prayer that you can join us in for XP ministries

1.     Please pray for Patricia and our team as we establish our new missions center in Cambodia.

We desire to see justice where there has been injustice.

But this is a people robbed and plundered; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses; they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none says, “Restore!” (Isaiah 42:22)

And we say, there is now a voice that is raised up to cry out RESTORE for a beautiful people in need of restoration!

2.     Please pray for God’s heart of love to be imparted to this nation and all the nations of the world.

3.     Please pray for Patricia and our team as we dive into this new season of media and missions around the world.

4.     Please pray daily for God’s wisdom, divine guidance, abundant favor and empowerment, supernatural strength, creativity, financial abundance, and Holy Spirit anointing in every area we are called to serve this year and the coming years.

5.     Please pray that we will always be in tune with the heartbeat of God and live in the rhythms of His heart.

Abundant blessings to you all, in Jesus’ Mighty Name!

Patricia King: The Ladder leads to History

written by Sarah Hascher

It’s all His story, our life story is held within His.

When I was very young I had an encounter just outside heaven. There were two white pedestals, one had a hand with a black gloves protruding out the top and the other had a hand with a white glove. I stood pondering and perplexed as I ventured to decide which one I was to choose. See, I thought the obvious answer would be the white glove, but then again, what if the enemy was being a sneaky snake and deceiving me. When I thought to grab the opposite hand, the black glove, I questioned weather or not God would be wearing a black glove.

Years past until recently the Lord revisited that place with me and gave me the simple but profound answer. “My hand is behind everything, because I AM all powerful.” He said. I suddenly had a deeper revelation of the might and majesty of God. A paradigm shift happened.

I had struggled with wanting to make the right decisions in life, but had not realized how often I had counted myself too important when doing so. Maybe that’s why I made some stupid choices, thinking…. “I’m obviously not making the right ones, so I may as well deliberately make the wrong ones.”  See, I had not gotten what I thought I wanted from the “right” decisions I was making so I gave up. I forgot to factor God’s timing and also forgot that God still works His plan. In the end He is still God and I am not.

It isn’t about getting caught up on making the right decision, because that still points back to self, it is simply about knowing who God is.

When I realize that He truly does “hold all things together” (Col. 1:17) My focus shifts from trying to choose right, that I may have some place of controlling consequences, to surrendering in humble, intoxicating abandoned love to the great I AM. When I KNOW that He is good and that He is “making all things work together for the good of those who love Him” (Rom. 8:28), I live a life of freedom and prayer-in constant communion with God. This constant communion brings revelation waves of His goodness that can’t help but elevate my spirit to overflowing. I was never meant to live out of self-effort.

I talk to so many who sincerely desire to make the right choices to follow God’s lead, God’s timing and to surrender everything to His care. This is so important. I have stumbled many many times enough to know my impatient heart just wants things now and have suffered the consequences thereof! I can hear my mom saying, “Sarah……slllllllooooow down.” Thankfully, I am learning to sllllooooww down, and yet to keep moving.

I know God is a God of balance and devine order. I also know that I will not always get it perfect and He has accounted for that. God seems to be more concerned with the hearts of His people than them not missing it or messing up. When I’m more focused on making the right choice rather than the Chosen one, I lose the very essence that will equip me to make the right decisions.

In other words, instead of contemplating the black glove or the white glove, I focus on the face. I focus on His power. I focus on the fact that He is orchestrating a symphony of highs and lows that will bring the perfect harmony of all the black and white areas of my life and I dance to the rhythm. When the dance is done, I know what choice to make, I enjoyed the process and have a confidence in who is leading the dance. And when I fall, I get up with a new revelation of His sovereignty spite my mess-ups and that makes me want to delight in Him again. The wrong choices still lead me to Him. He doesn’t ever loose, therefore, in Him, I never do.
